Chilled Butterbeer

1 liter cream soda or ginger ale
1 package butterscotch hardcandies
1. Pour soda into pitcher 1 hour or more before cooking.
2. Empty package of butterscotch candies into pitcher, let dissolve.
3. Stir mixture before serving.
Notes: 1 package butterscotch makes drink very sweet, use half package for less sweetness. This recipe can be reduced in calories and sugar by using diet soda and sugar-free butterscotch candies.
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp dried basil
3 Tbs reduced-fat mayonnaise
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 1/2 lbs. tilapia fillets
1 Tbs butter, melted
1/3 cup dried bread crumbs
1. In a small bowl combine the first five ingredients (through mustard).
2. Place fillets on a greased or parchment covered baking sheet.
3. Spread the Dijon mixture evenly over the fillets.
4. In a small bowl combine the bread crumbs and the butter, sprinkle over the fillets.
5. Bake at 425° for approximately 15 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
Yield: 5 servings
Pumpkin Spice Bread

1 1/2 lbs.2 cups canned pumpkin
3 cups sugar
1 cup water
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. ground cloves
1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin, sugar, water, vegetable oil and eggs. Beat until well mixed.
3. Measure the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, baking powder, nutmeg and ground cloves into separate bowl, then stir until combined (a great job for kids).
4. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, beating until smooth.
5. Grease two 9- by 5-inch loaf pans and dust them with flour. Evenly divide the batter between the two pans.
6. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
7. Cool for 10 to 15 minutes.
8. Then remove from pans by inverting them onto a rack and tapping the bottoms.
9. Slice and serve plain, buttered or with cream cheese.
Chocolate Wands

1 bag honey wheat pretzel sticks
1/2 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
red, yellow, green, silver/white sprinkles
1. Melt chocolate chips in microwave- safe bowl (1-1.5 minutes).
2. Dip pretzel tips into melted chocolate, twirl pretzel to ensure chocolate covers pretzel circumference.
3. Set pretzels on platter.
4. Sprinkle half of pretzels with red and yellow sprinkles and sprinkle the other half with green and silver/white sprinkles.
5. Allow chocolate to set for at least one hour.

Party Planner:
- Prepare butterbeer 3 hours before party; if desired, let kids put candies in soda
- Next, prepare chocolate wands and pumpkin spice bread
- Set table and include sorting hat, write the names of each of the four Hogwarts Houses
- Gryffindor: red and gold
- Ravenclaw: blue and yellow
- Hufflepuff: yellow and balck
- Slytherin : green and silver
- Prepare tilapia
- Have place cards were children can site, according to which house they pick out of the hat
- Before dinner have children write their names on slips of paper and place them in a Halloween style cauldron
- After dinner is served select four names out of the cauldron and announce them as those selected to be Triwizard Tournament Competitors, alot a prize to each
